For over 25 years, Deborah Davis has served students, families, schools, communities, and corporations in various professional capacities. Ms. Davis’ formal education and business experience has led to numerous leadership positions in both profit and non-profit organizations. A life long proponent of learning, Ms. Davis formed the DEC NETWORK as a response to what she saw as the best approach to preparing students young and old for future education, enrichment and career directions.

 

Ms. Davis brings objective insight and compassion to every relationship while promoting the right fit as the company mission. The foundation of her consulting style: teamwork, organization, communication and enthusiasm. Ms. Davis strongly endorses the benefit of a team approach for students seeking guidance. She incorporates this philosophy within all dimensions of her advisement. Parents, counselors, teachers, peers, coaches, mentors and more may play a role in the client’s journey, some more than others.

 

To help navigate this journey, Ms. Davis has copyrighted several carefully designed workshops and related planning materials for clients drawing upon her consulting services, professional background and masters level training. The program content also reflects personal insight from her role as a parent of two college bound students. More than one hundred families have benefited from the organizational resources provided by the DEC NETWORK workshops.

 

Ms. Davis is keenly aware of the complexities and dynamics of the educational environment facing clients today. To stay on top of the ever changing process, she emphasizes the importance of accurate data access and communication excellence. DEC NETWORK clients benefit from the use of state of the art management information systems including an online office and wireless conference center. Ms. Davis keeps current on counseling issues through college visits, continuing education and professional associations. Materials are updated on an ongoing basis. A positive, enthusiastic attitude underscores all communication activity.

 

Ms. Davis holds a Bachelors Degree from St. Lawrence University and a Masters in Business Administration/ Concentration in Organizational Behavior from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University. She has served on several boards including President of the National Charity League, Inc. Ms. Davis resides in Ridgefield with her husband, Grant. They have two daughters, Lauren and Caroline.
