Last week, Admissions Counselor Christina Wright introduced me to Marquette University at an informal gathering of IECA colleagues.  I was impressed! Founded in 1881 as a  Catholic Jesuit university, Marquette’s mission- ” to graduate students who are transformed by their education and who will transform the world in which they live, who will, in a phrase, become women and men for and with others”. Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Christina described Marquette as an active campus community of several clubs and Big East athletics within a bustling city environs.  The 8,000 plus undergraduates (11,000 total) represent every state in the nation as well as over 65 countries worldwide. Students choose their course of study from seven colleges: Arts and Sciences, Business, Communication, Education, Engineering, Health Sciences and Nursing (most competitive!). Study abroad opportunities are offered in Australia, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Central America, Africa, North America and South America with options for summer, semester or year long programs.
