Is summer an okay time to visit college campuses? The answer is a resounding YES. Over the years, I’ve had several families take advantage of the down time of summer to check out schools. These are clients who for whatever reason could not make it to campuses during the school year. Many are three season athletes,  part time employees or volunteers extraordinaire. Some have working parents who want to take part in the excitement of the tours and can’t take extended vacation until June, July, or August. Although campuses are not filled with the hustle and bustle of the usual student body, visitors can still take advantage of group information sessions, student tours and admissions interviews. If a prospective applicant likes what he or she sees, plans can always be made for a fall/early winter visit when school is back in session.
